For those of you who don't know me, my name is Sophia and I am a high school senior at Uxbridge High School. Over the summer, I went to Camp Sunshine with Saint Mary's Parish, and so today I would like to talk to you all about my wonderful experience.

Honestly, Camp Sunshine was the best thing that ever happened to me because it made me feel good that I could just play with these kids, and make them smile for a little while. During the course of those five days, I actually began to lose track of time and I became a different person. In fact, I believe that by going on this mission, I was able to strengthen my relationship with God even more. Camp Sunshine taught me how to put others before myself, and how to give more than to receive. The joy that I saw on the faces of the families and the children there was enough to make me feel like I had made a great contribution, however small it was in its entirety.

So for that reason, I encourage all of you who didn't go last summer to go this summer.
